Love at first sight!

During some recent time I found myself snuggled in bed for a few days. As ADD as I am, it is hard for me to stay down for extended times. I needed something I could work on that did not require any measuring or figures, and a limited amount of tools or supplies.

Matchbox drawers
I remembered these adorable match boxes I had fallen in love with.

So I took my favorite card stock loaded it in the printer and printed four templates of these per page. Available for download from Bigfoot & Pickle face. I printed the template directly on the bottom of my paper. Cut on cut lines and scored on fold lines for a crisp fold.

I then cut four pieces of black cardstock at 2 1/4 X 4 1/2 for the outter wrap. Scored at 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, and 4 inches. Then I wrapped the little drawer. Then I really fell in love. These are so cute, how could you not fall in love?

Another alternative is to print the complete project on one page from
Swap-bot by Rachel Johnson.

The awesome thing was I cut these out with scissors, remember I was in bed, and used my glue pen and my bone folder to assemble.

A week or so later as I was feeling much better I adorned with ribbon, button, and the drawer knobs are sewing pins cut down and a tiny drop of hot glue added on the inside of the drawer to hold them in.

Rachel also offers a download for enclosures in case you need ideas to fill those wonderful drawers. Enjoy!
